I'm now a full time art student (again!) & I am loving almost every second of it. I certainly have a lot to do at all times but it is wonderfully creative work as opposed to rotting away in a grey cubicle Monday to Friday...
I plan to post my work up in here as soon as I have it scanned/photographed. I have drawings & collage & digital work mainly at this stage but shall also have more photography very soon. Also I am assigned the task of designing a light so in a few weeks that will surface. We are limited to assigned materials & are not allowed to use glue or tape so it's going to be interesting. I see it as a valuable challenge.
These days I'm spending my Monday's making dollars so I can buy art supplies & food. I also work after class when I can, a total of about 10 hours. My student debt rises like the tide but that bothers me little.
I found a dSLR for a bargain price as the seller won it but did not want it. I'm actually reading the manual (I dislike reading manuals) & am slowly coming to grips with it. I've been told I must become the 'official Draco Aerius photographer'... haha, we'll see.
My business is ticking along. AVE LUNA is a hobby at the moment, I still take orders but I'm not really building stock. I've diversified into more dvd's as there is more demand & a higher profit margin. I feel like a wanker corporate saying that but with limited time you have to make these things worth it. I'm working with 7 local bands currently to distribute their CD's plus have more in negotiation & while I make nothing from it, I enjoy contributing in that way.
Ever present yearnings for a simple life pervade & frustrate but we work towards it in our own ways.
I've given up the raw food diet as my blender broke (grr) & it's a bit of a mission right now to stay organised. I feel more like a hunter/gatherer & await Spring & the opportunity to revitalise our garden anew.

I've only just got back on this site after some time. Thanks for your message.
"B" & I have just this past weekend decided to walk seperate paths for a while but we are both well. No awkward, drama business.
T'would be cool to see you & Krysten again sometime. I'm not sure when I'd be in NP but if you guys are in Wellington we should all (incl. B) catch up. If you're keen.
Draco's playing December 13 if the news has not gotten out. At Valve ofcourse.
Anyway, should be workin'!
Im not sure if Krysten will be able to but I will definitely be there for the 13th gig as it is (at least partly) in honour of me and Chrystelles birthday after all, so we'll all have to catch up then.
Anyway, should be paintin'!
Bob & I will certainly always be friends.
Yeah, I am so not informed, all I have been told is that it is a gig which Draco hope to release the new ep at. hrmm. haha.
No more valve though.... so there might be a rethink!
Have a good time painting.
julia.
